Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy had been forced back to Arkadia. His leg was fine, but he still was not permitted to go to the summit. Instead, he was tasked with going to retrieve the rest of the people from Farm Station. While Bellamy thought he should go to Polis, he couldn't help but also feel compelled to comply with these orders . . . for very personal reasons. And that involved a certain other male. Prior to coming on the ground, he had been in a relationship with someone. The time they had gotten together, was an incredibly dark and difficult time in Bellamy's life, and he had heavily relied on his partner on ways that he never permitted himself to before.
But one offer had changed his life. And without a word, he had shot the Chancellor and snuck onto the dropship. The next step, had been cutting communications. Everything Bellamy did, he did so with Bryan in mind, but not with priority. It had been utterly selfish, and when the culling happened . . . he couldn't help but wonder and fear if Bryan had been among those died. When the rest of the Ark came down,
Bellamy still remembered being brought back in cuffs, his eyes eagerly looking for any sign of his boyfriend. But farm had remained unfound. For months they searched but now . . . they had found them. Bellamy didn't even have a chance to speak to Pike at length. They had been given the coordinates and would meet the former earth skill's teacher at their base. Taking the Rover to carry whatever supplies they had, they got to the point where they needed to move the rest of the way on foot. Getting out, Bellamy was followed by a few other guardsman. It was the masked figures in the near distance that caused Bellamy to immediately raise his weapon and aim.
He motioned for the others to take position as he quietly approached the few people. Bellamy had just had an encounter with Azgeda where the ceasefire was broken. There would be no hesitation to kill them if they proved to be a threat. Besides, having crossed the army clad as one also gave him a strong familiarity with their attire. But not wanting to needlessly murder, when Bellamy was close enough to one of the Azgeda warriors, he lunged forward, grabbing the shorter male from behind as his arm locked him around his thraot. "Get their weapons!" He ordered, the other guardsman now joining the scene to gain the advantage of surprise.

Pike and Hannah had been gone for a couple days now, and Bryan knew they should be back, if nothing had happened to them. He was just starting to round up as small group of those who survived from Farm Station, those who could fight, to go looking for him. Pike had asked him to stay behind to help protect their base, but there was no way in hell Bryan was going to let Pike and Hannah's disappearance go uninvestigated. What was left of Farm Station needed them.
They wore the clothes of the Azgeda warriors they had had to kill as a disguise, a way to walk through this territory and not seem out of place. Or an easy target. But as they hadn't yet left on their journey, their guards weren't up as much as they should have been. Someone heavier than him slammed into Bryan's back, their hand going around his throat. Something about his attackers voice tugged at him, something felt off, but there was no time to think. He had to fight or die.
He leaned into his attackers hand, coughing as it forced him to choke a little, but he got just enough distance that when he slammed his head back, cracking it against his attackers head, the hand around his throat loosened. Pain ripped through his head, but Byran slammed his elbow back while the attacker was still disoriented, landing it in his attackers stomach, which left him free to pull away.
He spun as soon as he was out of the other man's grasp, raising his gun as he saw the other man stagger back slightly, and then return to full height and raising his own weapon. Bryan was already starting to pull the trigger when a shock of recognition hit him. "Bell?!" he gasped through the mask covering most of his face. Bellamy looked... different. And there was blood gushing from his nose, no doubt from what Bryan had just done. The racing of Bryan's heart told him that it was Bellamy, though.
"Farm station, stand down!" he shouted, still aware of the commotion around him, lifting his hands and pointedly taking his finger off the trigger. Almost unable to breath, Bryan slowly moved his hand to remove the covering from his face. "Bellamy?" he said, barely able to say the name. He'd hoped he would see his boyfriend again one day, but he found himself frozen where he stood, almost disbelieving this was real. This world, Earth, had given him nothing but pain and loss so far. How was it now giving him Bellamy back?

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT One moment Bellamy had a firm grip on the warrior, the next, he felt his head slam against his face. The powerful impact cause Bellamy to stagger back, his eyes instantly watering, clouding his and further impaired by the blood running out of his nose. The other guardsmen raised their weapons in preparation to shoot but then Bellamy heard it. His name. Very few people called him that. But it wasn't just the nickname, the was the voice. Bellamy recognized that voice. He blinked a few times, trying to clear his sight, his hand instinctively going to his nose where the red liquid continued to come out of it. But he had to see for himself. Farm station.
Bellamy felt his heard thudding in his chest. And when the mask came off . . . it was confirmed. There was no mistaking it, not even as the tears in his eyes started to subside enough that Bellamy could see woh it was. All he could do was stare in pure shock. "Bryan?" He questioned, thinking it was too good to be true. Bellamy had done so much. Lost so much. And here, was the man that he loved standing before him. "Oh my god," he breathed, still too shock to move. He didn't care about the air of confusion surrounding their people. Hell, he didn't even care about the blood anymore.
He fought the urge to run to him and wrap his arms around him, hold him, convince himself that this was real. But all he did was stare . . . only moving when a cloth was passed to him which he took without breaking his eye contact from the younger male, reaching out to put it on over his nose and wipe the blood. What did he say? What could he say? "I thought I'd never see you again." Words that he hadn't really over thought, but once that he meant whole heartedly. The fear of not seeing him. Or never getting the chance to explain. Or even tell him that he loved him.

"Same," Bryan managed in response, lowering his hands. Apparently, Bellamy felt as frozen in place as Bryan did. So much happened in the last few months. Bellamy seemed to disappear into thin air on the Ark, and when Bryan started asking questions, no one would give him an answer. Bryan had started to think the Ark had quietly floated him for some reason. It wasn't until Bryan learned on the ground that the Ark had sent everyone in the Skybox down to Earth. Octavia would be with them. There was a glimmer of hope that somehow, some way, Bellamy had gotten on that dropship to be with his sister. The timing was too coincidental. But that hope had been a small one. How had Bellamy done it?
Finally, Bryan let out a shaky breath, and his feet started to move, almost without him realizing it, closing the distance between them quickly so he could wrap his arms around Bellamy's shoulders. "You-- you vanished. You just disappeared," he said, not bothering to disguise the emotion in his voice. His hand went to the back of Bellamy's head, as if to prove to himself this was real. "I thought they floated you. No one would tell me anything."

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy held his breath as Bryan neared him, wrapping his arms around him, and he instantly reacted. He wrapped his arm around Bryan in return, holding the cloth to his nose still so that he didn't get any blood on his boyfriend. If that was what they still even were. Bellamy fully expected Bryan to hate him. To be angry with him for what he had done. But in this moment, relief seemed to trump all else. Bellamy closed his eyes, deeply breathing to take in the familiar scent of Bryan; the familiar feel of being held by him and holding him. He started talking about how he vanished, how no one would tell him anything . . . how he thought they floated him.
Bellamy's heart ached for the pain he must have caused him. He shared the fear of having thought he lost Bryan, that he had been one of the many causalities on the Ark. Fate never seemed to be kind and yet, in this one instance, it was. "Not here," Bellamy breathed against Bryan's ear. They would need to have a conversation. And Bellamy would explain everything, even if that may fully decide that Bryan was done with him. He couldn't withhold his truth. Bryan deserved better. Better than him. Bellamy drew his head back to look at his partner, lowering the cloth as the bleeding seemed to finally stop. He wanted nothing more than to kiss him, the urge incredibly overwhelming. But . . . he also knew that he couldn't just pretend everything would be ok. Bryan should hate him for what he had done.
Not even fully realizing that his arm was still around Bryan, he finally broke his gaze and looked around, lowering his arm but clearly not wanting to let him go. It was against his preference, but necessary. "There are more of a our people, a lot of people. We came to get you . . . to take you home. To Arkadia." The name was telling enough. Bellamy found his eyes resting on Bryan's face once more; it was impossible to stop staring at him, fearful that if he did, he would somehow disappear. "We should get the rest of your group and head out as soon as possible." Where it was safer than out here. As evidenced by the disguise that Bryan and the others took on.

"Not here." Bryan let out a shaky breath, but nodded against Bellamy's shoulder and steeled himself again. It had been five months since he'd seen Bellamy, and everything he felt wanted to spill over, but this wasn't the time. Pike and Hannah were still out there somewhere. Finding Bellamy didn't change that.
He missed the contact of Bellamy's arm when Bellamy finally let him go. He let go of Bellamy too, but didn't move away from him. He would just have to wait until they were somewhere safer to really enjoy his boyfriends touch again. If they were still boyfriends. Bryan loved Bellamy, had been holding out hope of reuniting, but he knew all too personally how only a few months on Earth could change someone. He'd changed a lot himself. Would Bellamy like who he'd become? He listened as Bellamy addressed everyone around them from Farm Station, unable to really feel relieved that there were a lot more of their people in someplace Bellamy called Arkadia, given they still didn't know where Pike was.
He looked back at Bellamy, taking in his handsome face, his freckles, as Bellamy said they should get the rest of his people and go. "We're missing some. Charles Pike and Hannah Green, among others. We were just going to look for them when you guys showed up, and we're not going anywhere without them," he said, his tone serious. Bellamy and his team could either help them find Pike, or they could go on their own and find this Arkadia place later. What if Pike and the others came back to find everyone gone? No. That wasn't going to happen. "If you want to take everyone else back with you to this Arkadia place," he said, meaning the young, the old, and those who weren't fighters, the people not in the group currently with Bryan, "the rest of us can join you once we find our people."

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy immediately felt cold once he was forced to let go of Bryan. His body having been deprived of the man's contact for almost half a year . . . and then teased with a taste of it, but not as much or as long as Bellamy craved. Or needed. But there would hopefully be time for that. Right now, they were still in dangerous territory with Azgeda warriors about. Bryan spoke of missing some people, those who had been helping them find Clarke. Which . . . well, had apparently been a waste of time.
"They're with us," Bellamy assured him. "One of our people went missing and they were helping us to find her," Bellamy explained, hoping that helped put Bryan's mind at ease. His loyalty to his people was admirable. But then, Bryan had always proved to be an incredible loyal person with a strong heart. One of the many things Bellamy had felt drawn to, and loved him for. "Hanna's with her son, Monty," Bellamy continued. He was assuming that Bryan and the others would know about her missing son. One of the many originally sent down to Earth as guinea pigs.
At least that would provide some more reassurance. Besides, the reunion of loved ones was a beautiful thing, especially after how many were deprived of it. Right now, Bellamy felt beyond fortunate that he was not among those robbed of the opportunity to be reunited with a loved one. Because Bryan was standing here right in front of him. "We have a vehicle to help carry supplies and take people who might not be able to travel on foot." If they had elderly, injured, or young children. "How much further to your base?" Bellamy asked, his eyes once again falling to Bryan as Bellamy was giving up the struggle to not look at him.

Bryan couldn't hold the small sigh of relief to hear Pike and Hannah were with Bellamy and the rest of their people. He closed his eyes for a moment, then looked back at Bellamy. "Good," he said, his lips tugging into a hint of a smile knowing Hannah was with her son before the expression faded again. "We're not far from camp," he answered, inclining his head for Bellamy to follow him as he rounded up his people and started to head back to camp, telling everyone Pike was safe, in case they hadn't overheard the entire conversation. "We have a few injured, and a couple older people. Most of the little kids are gone," he said, his tone grim on the last sentence. Most of the little kids had died on day one.
Farm station led the way back to camp, and it took some time, but they eventually got the injured and older people back to Bellamy's vehicle. Bryan was impressed by it, actually. It was larger than he expected. Bellamy hopped in the drivers seat, so Bryan took the passenger seat, selfishly not wanting to stray far from Bellamy. "Where did you find this thing and how is it still working?" he asked, looking around the controls. He thought vehicles on Earth had to burn some sort of fuel. Surely there wasn't any around. "How far to Arkadia?"

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy recalled Pike telling them of Azgeda killing the children. His heart had ached at the story. But then . . . Bellamy had murdered children to. Just, for different reasons. Not for the pure sake of violence. That, was where the grounders differed from him and his people. When they started to head to their camp, Bellamy took in the sight of it . . . he also did not stray far from Bryan's side. Now that he had him back, he didn't want to let him out of his sight for a second. They helped the elderly and injured to the Rover, having ample room for everyone. The other guardsman would lead the rest of the Arkers back to Arkadia on foot.
They had a walkie to stay in touch and Bellamy kept his own radio. Once he got into the driver's seat, he expected Bryan to come into the passenger's spot. And if he didn't, Bellamy would make sure to change whoever the hell was planning on taking that seat. Fortunately, he didn't have to. Bryan came in and the older male felt another wave of relief as he started up the vehicle. "We have some pretty skilled mechanics and engineers at Arkadia," he began to explain.
"There was a garage full of abandoned cars. And . . . there was another facility with vehicles." Mount Weather. But that was a long conversation. "It's not too far," he assured Bryan. He would have to stop staring at him and keep his eyes on the road now. "What's left of the Ark is mostly Alpha station. Plenty of room." They were still missing other portions of the Ark; some exploded, some of the whereabouts were unknown. At least they found farm station though.

Bryan nodded as Bellamy explained that they're found the vehicles, and that there were good mechanics in Arkadia. Still didn't explain how the vehicle was being fueled, but Bryan supposed that didn't really matter. They were moving, and the motion of the large metal machine under Bryan felt completely unfamiliar, but Bellamy looked used to it. Bryan wanted to turn in his seat and just look at the other man, but he forced himself to remain alert, his gaze looking ahead and around their surroundings as they moved.
After a few minutes, Bryan realized he didn't need to still be in his Azgeda clothes anymore, and started peeling off his layers until he was just in his normal clothes again. It was a relief, as the Azgeda clothes were heavy, but he also just felt more... human in his own clothes. He stayed silent for a while, not sure what there was to say that they could say in front of everyone else.
But after a while, Bryan glanced over at Bellamy. "Is your sister...?" Alive? he didn't say. If Bellamy's life on Earth had been like Bryan's, Bellamy would probably know what he was asking.

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT When Bellamy noticed from his peripheral vision the shift in Bryan, he briefly glanced over, seeing that he was removing his Azgeda attire. Bellamy knew he should be focused on the road, but the shedding of layers made him think of how much he wanted to touch Bryan. How much he wanted to kiss him. To feel him in all senses of the world. It had been so many months of fearing the worst, terrified of not seeing him again. And Bellamy wished they could just make up for lost time.
Though . . . he also was unsure where they stood, for he knew that he had made a choice. Fortunately, the topic of Octavia was a decent distraction from any thoughts of being physical with Bryan, and immediately set Bellamy's mind into his answer. He knew it wasn't as simple as offering an introduction between them. Though, he wished it were. "She's at Arkadia," Bellamy told him. He knew he would have to explain a few things about her, considering she looked like a Grounder and took in their mannerisms. Something Bellamy didn't entirely understand. He knew that their people had rejected her, but so had the Grounders. Still. It was what she chose and he loved his sister.
"She's . . . a little more open to Grounder culture." To say the least. But Bellamy already feared the tension that may exist between those from Farm, and Octavia and Lincoln. He couldn't blame them. Grounders were violent, and he just hoped they would soon learn that Lincoln especially, was a huge exception to the Grounder norm. He wanted to explain his reasons for coming down, explaining his relationship with Octavia. But . . . he also wanted that to be a private conversation. "What about you?" His family. What had happened to them? Though Bellamy had an idea he already knew the answer.

Bryan noticed the way Bellamy was watching him shed his Azgeda disguise. He couldn't help but feel a little hope about that. That Bellamy still wanted to look at him. That Bellamy wanted to see him again, not the fighter he'd had to become. Part of him was forever changed by Earth, but part of him was still the same guy Bellamy had fallen in love with and had fallen in love with Bellamy. He looked over at Bellamy once he was in his normal clothes, really looking him over for the first time since they'd reunited. Bryan wanted nothing more than to hold him and kiss him. But that had to wait. If it ever came.
He was starting to feel a slight headache creep in starting at the back of his head. He reached up briefly to make sure he wasn't bleeding as Bellamy told him his sister was in Arkadia, and he lowered his hand with a nod. He couldn't help the frown that crossed his brow when Bellamy said she was accepting of Grounder culture, though. What the hell did that mean? Everything Bryan had seen of their culture was that they were bloody and ruthless, and would never stop trying to kill them. He didn't think right now was the right time to question that statement, though, and when Bellamy asked his question, Bryan looked away, out the window. "They weren't on Farm. I guess they aren't in Arkadia either." Since Bellamy had to ask. He clenched his jaw and looked forward again. He hadn't completely given up hope of seeing them again, but it was getting harder.
Most of the ride back to Arkadia was quiet, and when they reached the gates, Bryan couldn't help but be impressed. He sat forward a little, looking out around them as they came into the camp, hoping to catch sight of Pike or Hannah or anyone else he knew. He didn't see anyone, but it was very clear the Arkers here had created a real community here. They were swallowed up by the Ark as they entered a garage, and he and Bell discussed the best way to get their people settled before helping transport the injured to their medical facility. They had a medical facility with real doctors. A feeling that had been missing inside him for several months now started to creep in. Relief. At least a small bit of it.
Once Bryan's people were settled, Bryan looked around the camp, taking it in, and suddenly his relief was mixed with mild discomfort now that he wasn't actively working toward a goal. Now what? Where did he fit in here? In a short period of time, he'd become someone his people looked to and depended on. Who was he here? He certainly had no desire to take this new found safety, or the appearance of it at least, and crawl back into the shadows. There would always be a threat.
And... where did he stand with Bellamy? Bryan glanced over and up at him. Bellamy had stayed by his side the entire time since they'd gotten to Arkadia. Bryan hoped the apprehension wasn't on his face as he gave Bellamy an almost smile. He lifted his hand to the back of his head and made a face. "I always knew you had a hard head. Never thought I'd test that." He paused for a moment, then added, "Sorry about your nose." The apology probably wasn't necessary, but it was better than telling Bellamy he was suddenly unsure what to do now.

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy felt his heart ache when Bryan revealed that his parents weren't on farm. Nor were they at Arkadia. There was still that hope that they were on one of the stations whose whereabouts were unknown . . . but hope could also be dangerous. Sometimes, it was just easier to not hope so that one could start the process of mourning, allowing themselves to grieve. He briefly glanced at him, noticing the way his head was turned toward the window.
Bellamy wished he could offer him some sort of support; physically console him. Hold him. But right now, he had to put all those thoughts and feelings aside. When they pulled into the garage, he got out and with Bryan held the others. He ensured not to stray far from the man's side, wanting to be close to him. When everything seemed to be getting in order, he turned to Bryan, a very faint smile on his lips at his remark and apology.
"I'm surprised that you even could test it," he told him teasingly, but not without truth. He hadn't known Bryan to have any sort of training in combat -- which made sense that he would need it down here. But from the impact and strategic move, Bellamy was able to get a small glimpse of just how trained he was. "You've got one hell of a head butt," he added on, subconsciously touching his nose for a moment, wanting to make sure no blood was randomly coming out.
Letting his hand fall back to his side, he continued. "It's going to take a bit to get everyone settled. Do you want to freshen up at my place until the others come?" Those that were coming on foot. Since Bellamy figured that Bryan would want to be there to help them settle. Bellamy then proceeded to lead him to his quarters, his heart suddenly racing in his chest.
He craved that moment alone with Bryan, but also feared it. As he previously thought . . . hope was a dangerous thing, and Bellamy was just continuing to hope that Bryan would still want to be with him. Even though Bellamy didn't deserve him after everything he'd done. Once they arrived, he opened the door, allowed the man to enter before following, and closing it behind him, practically fighting the urge to just throw his arms around him again.

Bryan huffed a small laugh at Bellamy complimenting his head butt. It wasn't a particularly happy laugh, but there was some amusement there. Bryan had never been particularly physically strong before on the Ark. He didn't feel particular pride in how his body had changed on the ground. It just... became what it needed to because of how cruel Earth was.
He was relieved when Bellamy suggested going to his quarters to freshen up. The freshening up part could wait, but he wanted nothing more that to be alone with Bellamy, even if his heart was fluttering, worried things were not going to be okay with them. That they wouldn't be the same. Walking into Bellamy's rooms, his eyes widened a little, looking around. "Wow. Must've been nice growing up on Alpha," he said. The room was spacious--well, at least much larger than the units on Farm or Factory--and have a real bed, not bunks built into the wall. Bryan had never really had any bitterness toward the privileged on the Ark, not like Bellamy did (and for good reason), but seeing this was... enlightening. Just how vastly different his life had been than some others.
He drew a slow breath and turned to look at Bellamy, deciding to get one of the big questions out of the way. "You have all this space for just you?" he asked. He tried to keep his tone even, even though he knew it would hurt like hell if Bellamy said he was living with someone else.

Tag: @bryanbryanbryan whatever THE HELL WE WANT When inside, Bryan commented on it having been good to grow up on Alpha. "Must have been," Bellamy agreed, though neither of them would know. The class division, the entitlement that the privilege had . . . was exactly what Bellamy had used to rally the crowd in his favor. Though it wasn't stemming from anything but the truth. They were often willing to sacrifice the less privileged first, and keep themselves in tact. Bellamy had seen it far too many times. The ground somehow, evened it all out though. The class division wasn't so clear any longer.
Upon Bryan's question, Bellamy looked at the male, still trying to figure out how to bring up what happened between them . . . where they stood. The former more legitimately stated of what Bellamy had caused between them. "Yeah," Bellamy confirmed nonchalantly, walking over to the coat hook where he took off his jacket and hung it up. "My sister has her own place." With Lincoln. Though clearly, Bellamy had misinterpreted the reason for the question. The implications.
"We've lived in smaller with more people." His apartment growing up on the Ark had been incredibly small, but it had been a home. "I'm never sure what to do with all this," he admitted, turning back to face Bryan. He knew he was just stalling. "What about you, will you need a place big enough for one or two?" Or maybe he didn't misinterpret it at all. Maybe it was a further attempt to stall . . . to not have his hope that Bryan was without another partner, destroyed. Bellamy would understand of course. He had done this to them, and wouldn't blame Bryan in the slightest for hating him, or wanting to move on.
