THE HELL WE WANT
Bellamy was currently sitting in the jeep, his gaze set out the window though he didn't see a damn thing. It wasn't due to the darkness. It was due to . . . well, everything else. In a matter of moments, he had lost three women that he had valued. Echo, for being someone who saved his life and then manipulated him by using Mount Weather. Clarke, who refused to come home for the second time and chose the Commander over her own people . . . over him. And Gena. Gena. The one woman who didn't betray him, and the one woman who had died. He wasn't even sure he had fully processed her loss.
Part of him was still expecting to see her when he returned to Arkadia. Expecting to be greeted by her warm embrace, her lips touching his, her words teasing his foolish bravery. He would never have that again. The first time he had formed a relationship with a woman . . . she died because of it. The reason she went to Mount Weather was largely because of him. He shouldn't have let her. He shouldn't have left her, or them. The weight of those deaths was added to the already heavy burden of the others. He felt sick.
Nauseaus. And he was sitting with Kane. The three of them, Kane, Abby and Clarke, had committed them to be under Lexa's rule. Something Bellamy heavily disagreed with. But clearly, no one was asking for his opinion or advice. All he could do was swallow back the anger in this moment, the pain of all the losses suffered today. And on top of all that . . . it wasn't even enough to numb his throbbing leg. He knew Kane would disapprove of what Bellamy did for he had once again gone against direct orders. And he regretted it. Of course he did. For the entire time, he was being played like a damn piano.
