whatever THE HELL WE WANT Guns! The discovery of them was perhaps the first time that Bellamy had smiled since coming down here. Truly smiled -- apart from seeing his sister for the first time after a year. But . . . guns! Finally! They had a chance against those damn Grounders. Bastards who used long range weapons. Well, now so could they. With that however came the necessity to train the others. Guns were weapons, but it wasn't guns that were dangerous, it was the people who used them. Which was why it was imperative that everyone who intended to weild them, be fully train in its safety.
There were a few that Bellamy was giving extra training to -- especially those who served as his second like Miller. But there were also those who showed great promise; individuals that he wanted to especially see among the group of those learning. Everyone had different skillsets. Some were better used for their mental capbilities, others for their physical. And those who could fire a gun properly, would be armed when the inevitable war with the grounders came. Until then, they would have to train with them . . . which was exactly what Bellamy was doing right now. He had just gone over the basics of gun training with a small group of delinquents.
He would set up the firing range later. Today was all about learning how to hold it and take aim. Raven was still working on salvaging what bullets they could. As the training came to a close -- though it was only late morning -- Bellamy decided that he could set up a small practice range and they could train again later. One delinquent in particular caught his eye. She had been among the first to remove her bracelet, and that was what made him really remember her face. It was enough to make him approach her while the others dispersed to do what they needed to. "How'd you find your first day of training?" He asked her, still holding one of the guns in his hand.

Fox sat on the chair messing with her wrist. She had been the first to take off her bracelet but the way it came off sort of messed up her wrist. Soon they discovered guns, she was a little freaked out considering she's never touched one before, never held one, or even shot one. The next day they were setting up a firing range, Bellamy had gone over some basics of the gun training with a small group of us. She was impressed on how he knew so much, Fox didn't know much at all, rarely anything. Afterwards they set up a firing range and everyone began to practice. Fox held the gun in her hand, she didn't exactly know how to handle it. She aimed at the target and took a deep breath before she shot. But she was way off from the target, she sighed before trying it again. She tried it over and over but each time she missed big time. She grunted in frustration as everyone began to slowly pick up and leave. She was the last person when she let the gun down and walked back to the bucket of water and washed her hands. The gun was heavy, she hadn't held something like that before. Afterwards she just stood around near the range just looking out. She turned when a voice spoke to her. It was Bellamy. "It was a disaster, ever shot I did I missed. Maybe I shouldn't even learn how to use those things. All I do is waste ammo" Fox crossed her arms and stared at the small firing range that was set up.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy could of course understand the frustration, but he wasn't one to coddle anyone. Tough love was the way to go . . . which, perhaps could even be an understatement. "Hardly anyone here has fired a gun, let alone touch one." It wasn't just his age made him an exception, but also his training within the guard. "You'll get the hang of it." And if she didn't . . . then they would station her elsewhere.
But Bellamy was going with his gut feeling right now. He knew she could do this. He saw that potential in her. And he wasn't about to let it go to waste. They couldn't afford perfection anyway. "All that matters is that you aim, fire, and hit your target." But he knew that was easier said than done. Taking the gun from her, he moved to stand behind her, her back practically against his front. He then held up the gun and position her arms to hold it properly. "Hold it on your shoulder," he explained, helping her level it so that she could get a feel of its weight.

Fox did as she was told, she held the gun on her shoulder as she focused and aimed. Fox once again took a deep breath. Bellamy put his finger over hers on the trigger and pulled it. The bullet went flying and hit the side of the target. Fox gasp and she turned to look at him "I can't believe I just did that" Fox looked at the weapon and just thought. She didn't hit the target but she was close, could it have been beginners luck? "Perhaps I will never be good enough" Fox was a fairly small girl, she dropped the gun and sat on the rock nearby "The only thing I will ever be good at is knife throwing. That's the only thing I've been doing since I got here" Fox chuckled and kicked the dirt. She was angry, but she never showed.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Once the gun was in position, he moved her fingers over the trigger so that she could get a feel of how it should be. It was far easier to show someone rather than try to explain it. Once in position, his finger remained over hers on the trigger and with some assistance, gently pushed down on her finger to indicate when to squeeze the trigger and release. She hit the target and when doing so, Bellamy took a small step back, releasing his hold of her.
A smile formed on his lips at her excitement, giving Fox the opportunity to bask in it. She sure as hell deserved it. Besides, he knew full well how adrenaline pumping firing a gun was. "See. You have it in you," he told her with a bit of a nod. Some of the delinquents needed that encouragement; others needed to be reigned in. But for reasons that were far less manipulative than Bellamy's initial motivations when landing on Earth with the others. She set the gun down and sat on a nearby rock, while Bellamy remained standing as he turned to look at her. "Well you know what they say about practice," he told her. It helped perfect ones technique.
Bellamy positioned his own gun, aiming it to where he wanted and with only a few seconds of preperation and taking aim, he fired, hitting his intended target. He then lowered the weapon and looked back at the female delinquent. "Knife throwing has its own challenges. Like the amount of force you have to use for the knife to actually peirce something." His mind went back to when he had been training Murphy and the others to throw an ax . . . as they kept throwing it but not with enough force to actually hit something hard enough. "You just have to practice. You'll get there." A small smirk then crept onto his features. "Something tells me you're not a quitter." He was going on his gut feeling and what he knew of her. Then again, he supposed that no one here were quitters. They were all fighters; survivors.

Fox intwined her hands before resting her elbows on her thighs "Thanks Bellamy" Fox slightly smiled as she stood up and grabbed the gun. She thought for only a second "So why not start practice now" Fox grabbed her knife and held the gun in her hands before walking into the woods. She could be making a mistake but why not go hunting. Sure she's risking her life but the ark thinks she's dead already so why the hell not. Plus Bellamy was right, she isn't a quitter. Fox began searching throughout the woods quietly moving around with the gun firmly pressed against her. Her palms were already beginning to sweat, she slight turned her head to see Bellamy following her. Well atleast she wasn't out here alone. Fox continued walking for who knows how long, she was just about to turn around and walk back to camp when she heard branches crunch and leaves rustle. Fox gasp and turned but didn't see Bellamy. Then she heard it again "Bellamy that isn't funny" She said trying to pin point where that was coming from

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Fox asked what Bellamy presumed to be a rhetorical question, for the next thing he knew, she turned and walked off into the woods. He knew he had two options here: let her be out in the wild when there was the threat of Grounders and dangerous animals lurking about . . . or go after her. It was practically a no brainer, but Bellamy still clenched his jaw with the unexpected event. "I'll be back in a bit," he informed Miller, knowing that if he didn't tell someone where he or another was gone, that they would worry. Everyone needed to be accounted for. With that,
Bellamy strapped the gun around his shoulder and began to follow Fox into the woods. He only hoped that the ammo would hold, since not all of these bullets were tested yet -- they were just for practice. Fortunately, he had a blade tucked away and his axe strapped to his waist in the event that the guns would not function to their capacity. He didn't fail to notice Fox turn around every now and then to make sure he was following. Bellamy didn't say anything though. Any sound could alert a predator . . . making them the pray. He was on high alert, his guard raised, sensitive to every sound around him. he stopped for a moment, though she was still in view.
There was something else out there. He could tell by the rustling. He raised his gun, looking around to make sure he was ready. It was her voice that caused him to step out so that he was standing next to her. "It's not me," he answered in a low voice. The sound was coming from another direction from which he stepped out from. "Guess you may get your practice after all." Though they would still need to be cautious. For all he knew, it could another delinquent skulking around. And if that were the case . . . Bellamy would kick their ass for being out of camp alone.

Fox clinched the gun as they continued to hear rustling all around. Fox turned and looked at Bellamy when he mentioned about getting the practice. She took a gulp before holding the gun with her finger on the trigger. What was she thinking? She wasn't ready for this. But there's no going back now. All Fox was wishing was that it was just another delinquent wandering around. As the rustling continued they both kept moving slowly and Fox noticed a hill that went down. She heard the rustling getting louder and louder. They both turned around to see grounders coming full speed at them "This should be fun" Fox said sarcastically. They came closer and Fox pulled the trigger, but no bullet came out. She began to freak out and tried it again and again but nothing. Damn thing is jammed. The two grounders came in closer. Bellamy took one while she took the other. Fox raised up her gun and tried to hit him but he knocked it out of her hand, he took out a knife as did she. They went in a small circle before he charged at her. Fox tried everything to fight him off but she wasn't that trained in this type of things. Fox threw her hand that had the knife and attempted to cut him but he backed away and he swinged at her causing him to cut her on the arm. She slightly yelled as she charged at him, she threw a punch and hit him in the face, he responded back by hitting her in the face. Fox fell to the ground on her cut arm. She raised up her head to see the grounder about to kick her "Bellamy!" She yelled before he kicked her in the stomach and she went rolling and flying down the hill that was nearby. She kept rolling down not knowing where she was going.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy spun around to see a couple of Grounder charging at them. He cursed under his breath, about to take aim and try to fire. But just like Fox's weapon, Bellamy's had also jammed. Another curse escaped him before he was thrown to the ground. These weapons had not been fully tested; they were meant for training. So he knew better than to rely on them. Though, he also hadn't expected this impromptu Grounder attack. Bellamy scrambled to his feet, attempting to punch the Grounder, which he managed to do, causing him to stagger back. Bellamy took that opportunity to glance in Fox's direction to see her. She was on the ground, and he saw blood. The sight distracted him enough to not be paying attention to the grounder he was dealing with. He tried to hurry toward her, but he felt something strike across his face, and hard. Tasting blood in his mouth, Bellamy staggered off to the side once again, using a tree to keep him up. He blinked rapidly, his vision blurred from the impact of the hit.
The last thing he heard was Fox yelling, the sound seeming more distant than it actually was. Which was most probably due to the injury he had sustained. Spitting out the blood, Bellamy glared at the Grounders. He pulled out the axe he always carried on him and started swinging it. The Grounder blocked the first attack, but Bellamy kicked him in the knee as hard as he could -- one of the more sensitive areas. It was enough for the Grounder to land on his knees, at which point Bellamy used the blade of his axe to swipe it against the Grounder's throat, slitting it, killing him. He turned just in time to feel a hand on his throat, pressing hard as the other one shoved him against the tree. Bellamy's hand went on the Grounder's that was wrapped around him, trying to alleviate some of the pressure. It was to no awail. He could feel his airway getting blocked, his larynx getting crushed. Desperation overcame the rebel leader.
With his last bit of strength he reached for the small blade he always had tucked away, and in one swift motion, pulled it out and jabbed it in the man's throat. The relief of his hand caused Bellamy to replace it with his own, coughing out, struggling to breath. He watched the man fall lifelessly to the ground, attempting to detach himself from just having killed two men. Pulling the blade out, Bellamy just stared at the corpses, a sickness in the pitt of his stomach over what he had done and yet . . . he had to. Kill or be killed. Fox immediately entered into his mind, her safety being of paramount importance. So with that, he began to run down the hill she had been sent tumbling down on. He could see her body, desperately hoping she hadn't suffered any lethal injury. He had remembered seeing blood and feared the severity of the wound. Falling to his knees next to her he turned her toward him. "You alright?" He questioned, his voice hoarse from having been nearly choked to death. If she could talk, she was breathing, and that of course was a good sign.

She regretted coming out here. She should've known because the grounders were everywhere. But she was known to be stubborn, she doesn't think. She kept tumbling down the hill, feeling the pain get stronger on every inch of her body. She didn't even make when she finally stopped rolling, she groaned but kept her head down for a small second. After a couple seconds she felt Bellamy by her side asking her if she was alright. Her vision slightly fixed up and he helped her up "Yea, I will be, as soon as world stops spinning" She looked up and blinked a few times. She felt a sharp pain on her stomach. She touched her stomach and looked at her hand before seeing blood. Her eyes widen and she slightly fell with Bellamy catching her. They heard a noise and automatically knew what it was. The acid fog, she looked around "The camp is too far, we will never make it without the fog catching up to us" The only thought that could come to her mind were the caves, she knew some were close by. Even though her arm ached from the cut, she had her stomach wound to worry about. But both were the least of her worries with the fog going throughout the area.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT When he saw that she was conscious, he took her hold of her arm and gently, slowly raised her to her feet. Had they been in the safety of the camp, they would have more time to regain their strength. But they needed to get back, as soon as possible. Unfortunately, fate had another plan in store for them. She said that everything was spinning, and it didn't take long to see the blood on her stomach, before she collapsed. Fortunately, Bellamy still had a hold of her so she didn't go right to the ground. She fell into his grasp. He looked to the direction that the acid fog was coming in and inwardly cursed at the timing of all this. They would need to move fast, though Fox was too impaired. Leaving her was obviously never an option.
Instead, he scooped her up into his arms, and started to head toward the direction of where they had mapped out a cave. Since they attained the knowledge of acid fog, Grounders, bad weather, other threatening creatures and so on, they had needed to pinpoint a few areas that they could claim shelter in. If he remembered correctly, there would be a cave not far from here. And fortunately, there was. He hurried them inside, stopping when they had just entered it.
He set Fox down on the ground in an upright position so that her back was resting against the cave wall. He began to pull a large boulder that was conveniently in front of the entrance . . . and just in time. It would block out the fog from entering. Breathing a sigh of relief at one less threat, Bellamy then turned his attentions to Fox. Kneeling in front of her, his eyes went to her blood soaked shirt before moving to her face again. "Take off your shirt." So that he could inspect the wound. Something told him she may need help with that, but he figured that if she was uncomfortable with undressing in front of him, his words would give her a bit of warning.

When things couldn't get any worse the acid fog had to come. It was deadly, she watched as Bellamy looked into the direction to where the fog was coming from. He scooped her up as they headed to a near by cave. She looked back over his shoulder to see the smokey acid fog following them sharply. They made it to nearby cave as he sat her with her back against the hard rock wall. She winced in pain when he set her down. She figured when she was rolling down the hill a stick or something sharp must've stabbed her, but she didn't really feel it. She turned slightly to see he was blocking the entrance, her vision seemed to slightly go sideways, which she questioned. He walked over to her and kneeled down in front. He instructed for her to take off her shirt, of course so he could examine the wound. Fox wasn't uncomfortable with the fact that she was suppose to take off her shirt in front of him, he has to examine it. Her hands began to shake as she began to take off her shirt, she took it off much faster when he helped her. She looked up at the ceiling as he touched right next to the wound, she winced and her breathing pattern suddenly changed "It's deep isn't it? I can feel it" Fox could feel the warmness of the blood sliding down the wound. The massive bleeding that was going on she could feel it was deep, but maybe not so deep, or she would be dead right now.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT When she displayed no objection to his words, he helped her remove the shirt, gently lifting it off her head so that he could see the extent of the damage. Setting the garment side, he moved a hand to gently touch her skin next to the wound. His eyes flashed to her face, taking in reaction to the sensitive region. Her own gaze was averted upwards, and Bellamy's line of sight fell back to the wound as she expressed her assumption that it was deep. She was right. He reached into his pocket for a cloth, one that he normally had a small blade wrapped in but the blade was gone for now.
He then pulled out his water pack, and poured a little bit of it onto the cloth. "You'll live," he assured her. He wasn't one to sugarcoat anything. He often spoke bluntly, telling it like it was. Right now, the biggest risk was infection. Setting his water pack down, he gently began to dab the wound, starting to clean the blood off of it as carefully as he could. Last thing he wanted to do was cause her more pain. Best case scenario was getting her back to camp, but that clearly wasn't an option right now. "You might need a few stitches when we get back to camp," he further explained. Clarke was the medical expert, but he could easily assess the severity of the wound. It wasn't rocket science.

All she could think about was the wound, but little did she know that was her last concern. The acid fig was whirling around out there, and it wasn't going away that quickly. Bellamy began to dab the wound cleaning off the blood that stayed behind and assured her she would live. She winced in pain and stayed looking up as he did. She was shaking more them ever now. She had never felt pain like this before. She nodded slowly when he told her she would need to get stitches when they get back to camp. She slightly chuckled as she kept looking up "You know this isn't the best time to say this. But I can't stand the sight of blood. Just remind me not to look at it" It didn't take long before he was done. He wrapped it up after cleaning the wound. She stayed sitting in the same place and wasn't shaking as much before "Why did you do it? You didn't have to come after me. You shouldn't have" He had a choice, he was the leader of the group so she figured he wouldn't have went after her. He could've stopped her, but then again he hasn't gone she would've been dead

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy briefly glanced at her when she admitted that she couldn't stand the sight of blood. It was understandable, as he knew it was a common source of discomfort and unnease for people. He would have told her to look away, but she was already on the right track with that considering her gaze was averted to the ceiling. "Just keep looking where you are," he told her, working quickly but carefully. "Or look at me." Because he would do whatever he could to ensure she remained calm despite the sight of blood. She managed quite well though, not seeming to be on the verge of fainting or anything.
When he was done, he shifted back a little, the narrow cave allowing him to sit across from her without being too far from Fox. She then asked why he did it; telling him he shouldn't have gone after her. He remained silent for a moment. It was often difficult for him to articulate such things. All the protectiveness he'd felt for Octavia her entire life, was now channeled into the delinquents. "I wasn't going to leave you." The words were heavy with sincerity, figuring that one simple statement, encompossed a great deal more.
"We don't abandon our own." And he never would. Ever since Clarke had convinced him to stay, he was determined to do so. And protect the others -- his people -- at all costs. He decided to change the subject, to distract her from everything. "What would you have wanted to be on the Ark?" He asked suddenly, knowing it was random and at the same time, a subject that didn't involve the reminder of blood or any pain she may be experiencing. So instead, he posted the inquiry of if she didn't get arrested . . . and field would she have gotten into once she graduated from school.
