Marcus knew that Abby was in pain and that every jostle of the stretcher would hurt her, so he walked along and held her hand so she could squeeze it as needed. His other arm was draped around Lilly as they walked. Upon seeing her alive, he had hugged her and embraced her. She wasn't his daughter, but he had known her for years, and became close to her. She had broken down crying and clung right back to him.
Once they walked through the gate he looked up at saw Callie. Pulling his arm from Lilly he pointed toward her mother, and felt the jerk of her bursting past him to run toward her. Marcus stayed there and watched for a long moment, before walking on with Abby, and helping everyone get settled.
Later that night he walked toward @callie's rooms and knocked on the door. He wanted for her to answer, knowing that she could be sleeping. He wanted to make sure Lilly was alright, and that Callie too didn't need for anything. While medicine was in short supply--and he didn't think Lilly needed any of them--then emotional damage would take a while to heal.
