Everything I do is for Azgeda
SHE'S GOING TO CATCH A COLD
Nia was not happy. To say the least. She had worked hard to establish Azgeda as the largest clan. One of the most powerful ones. And now, this new Heda threatened it all by making her submit. Nia had no interest in a coalition. She had no interest in peace with Trikru. She wanted to crush them and claim their power and lands. To spread Azgeda's territories beyond their current boundaries.
But Lexa, prevented her from doing that. What more could Nia expect from a Trikru warrior. But Nia knew that she had not played her hand yet. She still had Ontari. A secret that she would keep, and nurture, breed and strengthen to eventually put an Azgeda Heda on the throne. In doing so, Azgeda would be most powerful and have ultimate control on all the clans. But that time would have to come later.
Right now, Azgeda had taken a hit. Nia had captured Lexa's lover and sent her head back, to be slipped into her bed while sleeping. A message. One that the Commander didn't take well to. The other clan leaders were not ready to go against their new Heda and so the threat of being excluded from the coalition, threatened all of Ice Nation.
Nia could not have it so. In exchange, she was to banish her son. An heir was the only thing her otherwise useless husband had been good for. And now, that would be taken from her. Her legacy was compromised. She would not give up however. Ontari was the key to all this. In the present moment though . . . she was quite livid.
Entering through the doors of the throne room, flanked by her own guards, along with the Commander's to protect Lexa, Nia walked to the middle of the room, her piercing gaze fixated on the young girl. She refused to bow. She had far too much pride for that.
"I have come with an answer to the terms you set forth." Banish Roan, and Azgeda would join the coalition. Nia wanted neither but right now, being in the coalition was the only way to save Azgeda. She could not risk the nation getting wiped out by the other clans under their Heda's command.

LEXA KOM TRIKRU The worst moment in her life had not been slaughtering her Natblida siblings, nor was it the pain of never being able to go home. It wasn't the battles she got into or the wounds she recieved from said battles. It was nothing, nothing compared to seeing her lovers head in her bed. Her head without the rest of her body. Lexa had known it had been Azgeda who had been the ones to kidnap her, torture her and cut off her head. There had been no getting the blood out of the furs and she had refused to sleep on fur covered in her lovers blood.
Seeing that had devastated her, caused her legs to collapse from beneath her as she sobbed. One of the few moments that she showed something other than strength. One of the few moments that she showed vulnerability with someone other than Costia. Titus had reinforced the ideals that love was weakness and she didn't want to hear it, couldn't because her lovers head was right there. Lexa hadn't even been able to give her a proper send-off. All the while she was flooded with guilt, wondering what she could have done differently in order for Costia to remain out of harm's way or what she could have done to better look for her when she had been captured.
She had been watched with wary eyes as she sat on the throne to wait. Azgeda. If she didn't need them, their support and their numbers then she would have banished the whole lot of them. Titus hadn't been too vocal but she could tell he was worried of what she might do in retaliation. Titus, you need not fear. I lead with my head and not my heart, no matter how much I wish to. No, she couldn't stoop to their level. Though the dagger she always carried remained on her lap, she would not use it to slit the throat of the Queen. Most of the time it was for show, to show just how comfortable she was using such a small weapon and how unafraid she would be to use it.
Azgeda was a powerful clan and with their numbers added to those already in the coalition, they had a better chance at fighting the mountain men and the reapers not to mention it would remove Azgeda from the threat table. Trikru and Azgeda had been at war for as long as she could remember and they could not afford to fight when there were other pressing matters at hand. In order for them to join however, Lexa had only one demand; the banishment of Prince Roan, the one and only heir of Azgeda. They needed to know that it was her, not their Queen, that had the power.
The moment the doors opened up and Nia began walking towards her, Lexa stared at her with unblinking eyes, matching the intensity of the gaze. Anger spiked in her blood stream, biting back the ashen taste in her mouth and the sweet desire to see her bleed. She spoke and the words had been something she wanted to hear though not quite. It still did no answer the question at hand and so Lexa, careful to keep any personal feelings aside, spoke. "And what, pray, is your answer?" Lexa's fingers lightly brushed along the dagger's blade before they found the intricate wooden hilt. Movements paused as she sat up a little straighter, wanting to hear the words pour from her mouth, to watch as she submitted to her Heda.
As it should be. blood must have blood Queen Nia

Everything I do is for Azgeda
SHE'S GOING TO CATCH A COLD
It was fairly evident that neither of them were pleased with each other. But as much as Nia disapproved of Lexa's rule and her decisions . . . she knew the commander was not stupid enough to kill her. Though, it was still possible she supposed. Especially with that dagger that she stroked, so casually resting on her lap. As if a reminder that she could strike Nia at any time.
But she was not about to act anything apart from strong. Nia's only regret, was that she didn't torture Lexa's lover more. That she didn't send her in more pieces than just her head. Because if this was what would come of it, then Nia would have taken far more time with the little Trikru brat. If only to maximize Lexa's pain. Her question demanded a straight forward answer, which was expected. And something that Nia wouldn't prefer otherwise. Then again . . . she preferred none of this.
"You may banish Roan." As if giving Lexa permission to do so. As if Nia controlled the actions, which she knew she did not. Either option was not good. But she had to do what was best for Azgeda. And soon, she would have ultimate power. Lexa would not remain on the throne. Ontari would soon take her position and then everything else would fall into place.
"Azgeda will be part of the coalition," she added on, continuing to act as if she had made the decision . . . which she did. But just, not with the terms she wanted. Lexa had exercised her power and Nia despised that. She had worked so damn hard to strengthen Azgeda. and now she was forced to submit them to a coalition to create peace. Revolting. Utterly revolting.

Queen NiaIt was the dagger that gave her comfort, the cool bite of the blade against the tips of her fingers kept her calmer than she should have been. Oh it was a pity she couldn't strike Nia down where she stood but that was not the best plan of action and Lexa knew that. Striking Nia without provocation would only serve to have Azgeda retaliate and that was the worst thing that could happen. Azgeda was strong, she needed them in the coalition, not having them trying to rip out her throat.
Nia answered her, acting as though she was the one to make the decision. That was fine, Lexa wasn't about to argue with the words or the way it was spoken. She'd gotten her answer, she'd gotten Azgeda under a little bit more control and she had punished Nia all at the same time. It may not be proper in terms of justice, no blood must have blood but it was something. And right now Lexa would take that over anything else because this was the only way to make her enemy suffer.
"So be it. Once his banishment is official and in effect, then your initiation into the coalition will begin." By initiation she was referring to the branding and everything behind that. Including a summit of all the representatives to welcome Azgeda. No-one could say she wasn't a merciful Heda. Though this wasn't done by emotion but logic and she was thinking several steps ahead with this and not just of the tomorrow.
Now for the matter at hand. Banishing the prince. Did Nia bring him to Polis or was he still in Azgeda? Either way, he would be banished, it just depended on how long until he was for if he was in Azgeda that meant taking a trip to the ice lands.
