Maya lay on the cold hard floor of the mountain tomb. Not just forty eight hours ago the Mountain was bustling with the sound of men, woman and children. Now it was silent. She still felt the pain of the bump on her head. She herself didn't know how long she had been out cold. But she was now awake. She sat up and noticed the bodies around her. The smell of death was in the air and she knew that she was alone. There was only one thing that could kill everyone in the mountain. The seal was broken and the doors were open. How she alone had survived was confusing to her. Standing shakily she headed for her quarters that she had shared with her father. She knew she couldn't stay here. It felt more like a graveyard than a home now. Grabbing a pack she stuffed a change of clothes in it and grabbed her father's hunting knives. They had been preserved for years in a collections, passed down the line on his side. She grabbed her locket with the picture of her parents in it and her main weapon. Her gun. Well, it wasn't really hers at first, but now it was. Once the pack and gun were in hand she headed for the armory and grabbed as much ammo as she could hold along with another gun. Maya was not sure exactly what it was like on the outside. What she knew had come from the stories that had been passed down and changed over the years and what little Jasper had told her. But for the most part she was clueless. She followed the corridors to the front door and could see the hint of sunshine flowing through. As she neared the entrance she spotted her father and gasped. Kneeling down she gazed at him. Though the radiation had destroyed his body and he was barely recognizable she wanted one last goodbye. "I love you daddy. Give mama my love. I will miss you both." She wiped tears from her eyes as she now stood and walked toward the open door. She had been outside once or twice in her eighteen years, but that was in a hazmat suit. Now she was going out to face the elements herself. She threw one of the guns over her shoulder and gripped the other one. She had no choice but to go out. She took a one last look around the what used to be her home and stepped out. Immediately she let go of the gun with one hand and covered her eyes as the sun nearly blinded her. Was this such a good idea after all? Bellamy Blake

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT Things had been in a haze for Bellamy. Ever since the events at Mount Weather, he felt whatever left of his soul after the culling . . . tarnished. Blackened. Clarke had left and that in itself was painful enough. Of all the times she asked him to stay and he did . . . the one time he asked her to stay, and she didn't. Left to deal with this alone. The genocide they had committed. Killing people that had trusted him, that he had interacted with. And he couldn't regret it. He hated that it came to it but regretting it meant that he wished his people dead. After Clarke's departure, everything caught up to him; the adrenaline wearing off and left only was the lack of food, drink and rest . . . along with the decontamination and harvesting process.
He was forced to medical but didn't stay the night. Apparently, medical supplies were in dire need to help those who had been injured during their imprisonment in Mount Weather. It was too soon to go back, but Bellamy couldn't send them off by themselves. He felt the need to go wtih them; to protect them. There was still the threat of reapers and grounders. He didn't just wipe out an entire civilization only to fail to protect his people now. So first thing in the morning, they were off. Bellamy hadn't even adjusted to everything else, still feeling numbed by it all. When they arrived, Bellamy instructed them to be quick. In and out. Grab what they needed while he surveyed the area.
Do a quick patrol. A figure in the distance caused him to immediately aim his weapon toward the person. "Don't move," he demanded, as he stepped closer. It didn't seem like a Reaper, nor were they dressed as a Grounder. As he got closer, his gun still aimed at her, he suddenly froze in his footsteps. His expression and tone revealing of the shock seeing who it was. "Oh my god," he breathed, looking out from the scope of his rifle's lens to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "Maya?" He questioned. Had it finally happened? Had the images that haunted his mind now turned into hallucinations? Or was she real?

Maya was still trying to focus as she heard the voice. The newness of these surroundings were difficult at best to adapt to the sun was bright and she was trying understand what had just happened. Though she knew about the genocide, before they could stop it. She still gripped her gun with both hands and jumped back as she was trying to figure out who it was. She was barely looking out of her eyes as she tried to adjust to the sunlight. When he said her name she knew that the person, whoever it was knew her. "Who is it?" Her voice was cautious even though the person's sounded familiar. She put her hand up to shade her face and then her eyes widened. She knew who he was and she was nervous now. Had he come back to make sure everyone was truly dead? But she noticed that he was just as surprised at he was. "Bellamy?" Her voice sounded shaky and confused. She lowered her gun completely now. Though she was ready if he should raise it again. She stayed where she was though as she knew never to walk toward a gun that was pointed at her. She felt the wind for the first time in that moment and she looked up and then gazed around. Her eyes still hurt from the brightness of the sun. The smell of the air around her was different than what she was used to. Not regulated. The Hazmat Suit she had used before had kept her from experiencing this. But Now that she was out in the fresh air, she was in awe.
She looked back at Bellamy now and wondered what he must be thinking with that strange look on his face. Did he think she was a ghost or something? She was still not sure what had happened fully since she had been rendered unconscious at some point. She reached up remembering the bump on her head and realized that at some point she had been bleeding. But aside from a slight headache she was fine. At this point she was being cautious. Bellamy had not lowered his weapon and she was not going to move from her place until he did. Her eyes had wandered back to him and his little group as she prayed that he would not shoot her now in his confusion.

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT So many questions raced through his mind. How was she alive? How was she standing out here? Her expression showed equal confusion. Perhaps uncertainty. Surprise. Hallucinations did not do this. They were there to torment; not to express realistic emotions. The last round of hallucinations Bellamy had seen was the people he'd killed in the culling. They certainly were not surprised to see him. The shock numbed his actions, but he quickly regained his wits, lowering his gun so that it it was strapped around his shoulder as he slowly took a few steps toward her.
"How . . . " He wasn't even certain how to articulate the question. "How are you alive Maya?" Because everyone else was dead. His inquiry not meant to spark offense or anything other than relief that she was alive. That at least one person out of them all was alive. And Maya, of all people. The one who had saved his life, and thus, saved them all. She had risked so much for him, for his people, and her death was one of the many that heavily weighed on him. For after all she had done . . . he'd been forced to kill everyone. "When did you get the treatment?" It was an assumption of course; but the only logical one for her to be not only alive . . . but standing out in the open air as well.

Maya put her weapon over her shoulder now that he had lowered his. But she was still wary of being outside in the open and it showed on her face as she watched him shorten the gap between them. Her nervousness after all that happened made her wary of anyone at the moment, but she didn't back away. The hit on her head had made it a bit fuzzy on when she got the treatment. She knew she would remember in time. But memories were a bit rough right now and she was getting a splitting headache. She didn't remember how she had been knocked out, if she had been hit by someone, if something like debris had hit her on the head or if in her fearful running she stupidly ran into something. But whatever it was, had left a small gash on her head. She shrugged slightly as she answered. Not meaning to be rude, it was just that she could not remember when it was really. "I dunno, a few weeks ago?" She was still a bit shaky on her feet and she was trying disparately to hide this fact from Bellamy. The last thing she wanted right now was to be coddled. Besides, she knew that she she be angry at him for something. But she couldn't remember what it was. "Why are you here? I mean everyone is dead...." She trailed off as she tried to push the thought out of her mind. What could they possibly want that.....oh. Mount Weather had supplies. The people that lived there were gone and...was she reading to much into things? She wasn't going back in there. She was ready to take off now and yet she had no where to go. The reapers could still be out there and she didn't want to deal with them either. But anywhere was better than here. She glanced around as she tried to figure out her next move. Eyeing the small group that was in front of her, she began to wonder how far they would actually let her get. Her eyes darted around at the trees that flanked the clearing as she tried to decide which way she was going to head. But as she went to move she ended up staggering and almost falling to her knees as she reached up to place her hand over the gash above her right eye. Her headache was getting worse. Bellamy Blake

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT Weeks ago. Had they used the forced treatment from their own people? Or was it voluntary? And if so, then Bellamy could only think of one person who would have offered that to Maya. From his understanding, the others had not volunteered themselves -- and for good reason considering what Cage intended to do. But maybe, whatever made Maya immune . . . had been offered rather than forcefully taken.
He was about to ask if there was anyone else, but her next words answered that question. Everyone was dead. He had done that; killed everyone. But she was alive. Maya's death had weighed heavily on him, considering the fact that she had saved his life. Done so much for them. And he had rewarded her with death. Before he could respond, he noticed her stagger, and immediately rushed to her side, putting her arm around her from behind to support her.
"Easy," he said in a low, calming voice. The shock of her presence may not fully diminish, but it was subsiding enough to take notice of the gash on her head. He eyed it, pulling out a cloth from his pocket and gently dabbing away at the blood. She may need stitches. While he had basic training when it came to survival and tending to wounds, she needed to see an actual doctor. Who knew if this was her only injury.
"You should come with us," he began to tell her, keeping his arm securely around her so that she did not have to use her energy staying standing on her own. Besides, where else was she going to go. But he didn't want to demand it of her. He had no right to do that. "Our home isn't that far from here. And you need to get checked out by our doctors." Bellamy paused for a moment, lowering the cloth as he looked over the wound again, before his eyes met hers. "Besides, Jasper will be thrilled to see you." This could be the greatest incentive of all for hr to come. Her death had taken a heavy toll on him. While they had lost so many . . . at least Jasper would no longer have to mourn Maya.

Maya leaned against Bellamy as he took hold of her and started trying to walk with him. She really had no0 where to go and the woods were still dangerous with Reapers about. She knew all about them and how they were made. But that still would not help anyone now. She knew knew what Bellamy had done earlier, but didn't hold a grudge against him. He was only trying to protect his people. Like Wallace had tried to protect hers. Her father had died long before the genocide had happened so she could not blame that on him really either. They had lost so much on both sides and at the moment she was not in any shape to disagree with his offer. Her eyes were still trying to adjust to the sunlight. But that was getting easier as the time went on. She glanced up at Bellamy and could barely see his face for the glare of the sun, but had allowed him to wipe the blood off of her forehead. She knew he was checking the gash to make sure that she was okay. She didn't know how bad it was or if it was bad at all. In all reality, she didn't want to know right now. With her head throbbing and dizziness setting in she knew that she was better of not knowing. She took a step at a time and avoided the rocks and sticks. Maya had always been good on her feet otherwise. The chances of her tripping were minimal unless she got to dizzy. But for now she was able to hold her own with Bellamy by her side to give her support. His warmth seemed to help her focus as well as she kept her determination to get through this. She had not known that their camp was so close and was glad that she wouldn't have far to walk. The sun was still beating down on them through the trees and she hoped that she wouldn't be burned after all was said and done. She may be able to be outside. But that certainly did not stop her from experiencing other discomforts. Her skins was not exactly sun proof. Jasper? Her ears perked up when she heard his name. She had hoped that he made it out okay. It seemed almost that everything that had happened so far was a dream and she would wake up soon. She hoped. But the reality was, it wasn't and she would have to come to terms with her loss. She was the last of the Mountain Men and she knew it. How could she not know. She had seen the devastation and knew how everyone had suffered. But was it the right of the Mountain Men to take the lived of innocent people and.....she sighed. She was living proof that they thought it was right. She knew better. But she had not been given the choice. So did that count or was she considered just as bad as her people had been. "Am I a bad person because my people believed what they did was right? I didn't agree with them."She was not sure why this had slipped out. Her thoughts were jumbled at the moment due to the head injury. But she was sure that Bellamy would answer her either way. It was really not a conversation that she should be bringing up. But she felt so bad about everything and how it all turned out. Bellamy Blake

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT They began to move, and Bellamy ensured to take slow steps, moving at Maya's pace so that she did not get too overwhelmed. If she were to collapse, Bellamy knew he could carry her back, but he also didn't want to risk her falling unconscious and then potentially not waking up. It was best that she remain conscious until they reached Arkadia. That way, he could immediately take her to medical. Her question caused his jaw to clench, as he was consumed with guilt. "No," he said in a quiet voice, though thick with sincerity. He wondered if she knew; knew what he had done.
How he had killed everyone in the Mountain, including those who didn't deserve it. He still remembered when they were in the elevator, and she discouraged him from killing one of her teacher's . . . because not everyone was guilty. Not everyone knew. Yet there was no discrimination. At the end of the day, every single person, innocent or not, paid the price of Cage's crimes. Including children. "You fought for what you believed it," he told her, guilt in his voice though he was trying to keep his tone leveled.
"I meant what I said when saying you're a natural born revolutionary." He had not been dismissive of all that she had done. "You saved my people, Maya." Because she could have been idle. She could have left him hanging in the harvest chamber. She could have done nothing. But instead . . . she risked it all and saved them. "There is no way I can fully thank you for that," he added on. The fact that she was alive . . . well, that was something, but it was no thanks to him. Not in the slightest.

Maya didn't know what had happened fully and more importantly, she didn't want to know. Not really. She didn't want to remember what had happened. She was growing sleepy, though she was not sure it was because of the bump on her head or if being outside had a different affect on her body. She stumbled once, but immediately caught herself as she glanced up at Bellamy. She did not know what he had done. But still, if she had known, could she really blame him? War was hell. She knew that from the studying that she had done in history. It was bad on both sides. Her head throbbed more as she thought things over and she clung tighter to Bellamy to keep herself from falling asleep. She was not sure if she had a concussion or not, but if there was a medical unit where he was from, she would soon find out. The sun beat down on them as she she walked. The heat causing her to sweat for the first time in her eighteen years.Though she had just barely turned eighteen. When a drop of sweat went into her eyes she blinked quickly. Ow! That stings, was all she thought. But she didn't complain. It wouldn't change the outcome. It would still sting.
She wondered about what he had said about her being a revolutionary and she was more than surprised at the title. Though she knew that what she had done was just as he said. She knew that she could have kept quiet and done nothing to help them. But what good would that have done. So maybe he was right in that aspect. Her mother and father had taught her something. Her own father had even stood up beside her and fought for what she believed in. So she knew that her father would have wanted her to live. She was struggling to keep up with Bellamy now as she tried to keep fighting to stay awake. The sun seemed to blind her slightly as she saw swirls of light now. She tried desperately to stay awake. But suddenly, everything went black and she was able to say one word before her knees gave way under her.
"Bellamy?"
She had gone unconscious though she had tried to stay awake. Everything else on her body seemed to work. Her heart was beating just fine and her breathing was not changed, just her going unconscious due to the head injury. Though she had not realized it at the time that it happened.

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT One moment Bellamy was opening up to her, pouring out his heart to her by sincerely thanking her . . . the next, he heard his name and saw that she collapsed. Bellamy moved to her side, kneeling down to make sure that she was still breathing. Fortunately she was. The irony: of thinking he had killed her, finding her alive, and then having to watch her die again. At least that was not the case right now though.
But he knew that time was of the essence. With that thought in mind, he scooped her up in his arms, and started to carry her toward the camp. He figured once they got there, Jasper would be all too willing to take care of her. Apart from Maya's condition, the eagerness to show Jasper she was alive was what prompted him to rush toward Arkadia, wanting to give what he could to his friend after taking so much from him.

"None of us is innocent." Maya was unconscious for only a short time. She opened her eyes to find herself face to face with Bellamy. Not that she cared, but she was surprised that she had just passed out and then woke up in his arms. She blinked a couple of times as the sun was still bright over her eyes. She was also surprised that he had just left her pack on and the two guns were still attached to her. She knew that she was safe now. But she felt guilty for passing out on him like that. She didn't know whether to apologize or not. But she felt a bit better now and wondered if she should have him put her down. She was sure that she could walk with his help again. She was more alert than she was before, though she was confused at why she lost consciousness.
She glanced up into Bellamy's eyes as she bit her bottom lip. She knew he may be reluctant to set her down again, but she would like to try walking once more. Just one more time. But if he said no, she wouldn't question him on it. He knew what was best right now. But she was sure she could do it. She finally got the courage to ask him about walking on her own.
"C..can...I....try...walking...again? I can do it. I know I can!"
She was quiet now as she waited for the answer to her question. Her own thoughts were trying to take over as she was starting to get nervous about what some of the others might think of her as she was the one that lived. She knew a few of their friend had died. Not something she was proud of nor would she had allowed it if she had, had the choice. But she pushed it out of her mind at this point as she knew that this would not help her situation at this point in time. She would just have to take what came her way. She was so grateful for Bellamy's help. He was making sure that she was okay. She thought a little bit about Jasper and was not sure how she felt about him at the moment, but she would have to see when she saw him again.

Tag: @mikha whatever THE HELL WE WANT Feeling her begin to stir, Bellamy glanced down and noticed that she was conscious once more. He was unsure whether to set her down or not, but she asked him to. And he wasn't going to go against her wishes. Coming to a halt, he slowly lowered her body so that her feet touched the ground. His hand and arm hovered around her in the event that she was too imbalanced to stand on her own feet.
He was prepared for either outcome. "We're not that far from camp," he assured her. And once they got there, he could take her to medical and Jasper -- he was certain -- would take care of the rest when it came to taking care of Maya. Apart from Maya's medical condition, that was also the reason that Bellamy wanted to get back to Arkadia as soon as possible: to reveal to Jasper that Maya was alive.

"None of us is innocent." Maya smiled at him even though her head was pounding. But that was to be expected. She knew about medical things for the most part and she was able to understand that it was from the head wound. She slipped her arm around Bellamy's waist though to help balance her. She hoped he didn't mind and she was still not sure that she was stable to walk, but Maya was stubborn and wanted to try to do it on her own. She had always been that way. Even as a child.
She tried to see Arkadia from where she was. But she not able to see it yet. The trees were in the way. But she felt that he was right and that they were close. She could see the smoke from a campfire so she figured that it might be in that direction. She didn't know for sure. She was kind of turned around for the most part. Being outside of Mount Weather was different. She knew it inside and out. But, outside was going to be a challenge for her. At any rate she was glad that Bellamy was there for her. That didn't stop her from wanting to say again what she was mostly afraid of.
The fresh air was still helpful to her as she inhaled it. The air inside the mountain had been monitored. Just like everything else. But she figured that Bellamy had been used to that as well. She knew where he had lived before he came down to the ground and that he was used to things being metered and monitored perfectly. But as an after thought, she spoke to him almost excitedly even though she felt slightly weak.
