THE HELL WE WANT
Worth the risk. That was what Clarke had told him. She went from I can't lose you too to I was being weak; it's worth the risk. Granted, this plan was what Bellamy had suggested, knowing that they only stood a chance if they had someone on the inside. At the same time, he could tell something shifted inside of Clarke. Something changed. But there was no time to question it. Lincoln was going with him to show him the way, which would help him get through. With Clarke wishing them luck, she turned around and walked away. Raven debriefed him on what to look for, and he was giving proper grounder attire to help better camouflage in the woods.
Once he was debriefed and changed, Bellamy stepped back out. Saying goodbye to Octavia was difficult, especially when he had just recently been reunited with her. Both he and Lincoln were leaving and he hated the thought of it. But she was strong, as always, and hopefully Lincoln would return quickly. With farewells and a few more details of the plan, Lincoln and Bellamy set off, taking advantage of the fact that it was night time to see how much ground they could cover.
When they were out of ear shot, Bellamy turned to look at Lincoln for a moment. "Are you sure you're up for this?" He asked him, wanting to be entirely certain. He didn't want to question it in front of the others, knowing Octavia had already voiced her concern. But . . . Bellamy didn't want Lincoln to put himself at risk to help him in. "I can find another way," he suggested. Though knew it was unlikely. Yet, he wanted to give Lincoln the option to back out if he needed to. If anything happened to the man that Octavia loved . . . Bellamy would never forgive himself.
