THE HELL WE WANT
They had done what they set out to do. At least partially. Finn and Murphy had been found and brought back to Arkadia. But, not without a price. Not without war affecting at least one of them. The walk back had been silent, tense . . . Finn was not the same person. As much as he and Finn differed in their points of views, Bellamy couldn't deny how sad it was, to see the one who had been anti gun, all about peace, finally snap under the pressures of war, and fire aimlessly, claiming lives. It would stay with him forever. But there would not only be emotional repercussions.
There were severe physical ones too, because Bellamy knew the Grounders well enough to know that they would not let this go. They'd been at war with these bastards ever since they landed. And this, was just more bloodshed. Once they walked through the gates, Bellamy knew he'd have to deal with the Chancellor over them having broken the law to leave. They directly went against orders, but Bellamy didn't give a damn. When it came to his people, he wouldn't hesitate. When they were greeted at the gate, Bellamy gave Clarke and her mother a moment to be reunited, before stepping closer to Abby.
"We need to talk," he told her, his voice indicating that they needed to do it somewhere private. He had informed Clarke on the way back that he would speak to her mother about this, knowing she was shaken up about what she had seen Finn do. Octavia was too angry -- already having punched Finn on the way back -- and Finn, was in no position to talk to anyone right now. There would be an inquisition, but Bellamy needed to speak to Abby privately first. And Murphy . . . well, it was best that he just keep his mouth shut right now. "Before you do anything," Bellamy continued, referring to potentially punishing them for going against her orders. "Here me out." This was important, more important than defying a Chancellor.
